Hi John N., Only some electrical testing will determine where the problem is. It could be the switch, or it could be a bad starter relay on the inner fender, or it could be a bad starter solenoid on the starter. My guess would be a bad relay on the inner fender. Replace that (it's the easiest to change of the three possibles) and see if it solves the problem. If not, go for the switch next. It's easy to unplug it from the backside, and attach another switch to the terminal on the harness, letting it hang there..
