[Chrysler300] Fuel and starting

I have been following and reading all the possible solutions to the fuel and starting problems. All comments have some degree of validity, and anybody's problem could be a combination of any of the above. I have experienced similar problems on several older vehicles, including motorcycles, all of which are non fuel injected. Compared to the "Tiger that I used to put in my tank" in 1966, today's gas is CRAP !!! It is not formulated to be run in carbureted engines. When you shut off a hot engine, the volatiles evaporate from the carburetor, a phenomenon that does not occur in FI engines. Also, I have found that they leave an insulated film on the sparkplugs that is not apparent by looking, but when the plug is sandblasted clean, the engine starts right up when cold. That is my 2 cents, for what is is worth.
