[Chrysler300] two good '57 300Cs on ebay?

As I don't think they have low reserves, I hope would be 300C buyers don't 
mind me mentioning two pretty good looking 300C coupes have just opened on 
ebay - what they end at I would not know, but are the cars known to the 
Club.

The one on supposed original CA yellow and black plates, as a supposed rust 
free car, looks it would be a good/top car to somone wanting a fairly good 
car before it was then restored? And after the recent 300F seller scam, I 
presume these two are genuine.

This brings me back to an earlier suggestion that someone/someones in the 
Club, is I hope tracking cars Vins as they are offered for sale, so if same 
pictures are used later as scams, the Club can blow the whistle pretty 
quick?


Seeing all the 300s on the website at Palo Alto was a great thing, and 
Chrysler should have some/great pride that they built such cars over that 
50s post WWII period through to perhaps the latter Vietnam War period, where 
many US Cars seemed to lose something?

America is in another sad story re Iraq, and many brave young US people are 
coming home with shocking injuries, loss of limbs, etc, that an evening US 
News service we get here pointed out they will carry long after the War is 
forgotton.
My heart went out to the (sadly perhaps too typical?) 23 year old Sergeant 
shown with both legs lost, a face destroyed, brain injuries - if ever the US 
300 Club gets the chance in future, can I make the suggestion that if ever 
any want, that the offer be there that they/any can be taken for a run in a 
genuine early 300, and that they not be forgotten.  They have given so much 
for their country, our better future, and they should not be overlooked? ( 
Seemingly the modern body armour is saving some/many lives, but they then 
carry massive injury to rest of their bodies .)

Soryy to talk about sad things - on a better note, my ex Daytona Beach 1957 
Flying Mile Supercharged 300C Coupe, as of this afternoon after a day's 
welding in, has it's d/side lower cowl connected/welded to the rear quarter 
side section of the body by solid mopar metal once more, for likely the 
first time in maybe 30+ years - and the door gaps, alignment, are now with 
both sides done, are like that black 300C just up on ebay - I am bloody 
pleased and relieved.

When they had no rust in them, Chrysler back in 57 got the major cabin 
panels to line up brilliantly on some/many of the cars - the Flying Mile Car 
is number 46, Dec 1956, so maybe the early ones were good because more care 
time taken, others later on who knows? - however I also have March 57 build 
cars with excellent alignments, so are bad panel fit stories on full size 
Chryslers more myth than fact?
