[Chrysler300] Brake System Parts

Hello to ALL in 300 Land

I have found a source for the anti-chatter springs that go on the outside of
the brake drums. They can duplicate the original spring exactly. I am going
to have 3 sets made for the three vehicles I am currently working on.

I have spoken with a member of our clubs restoration committee. They are
intrested in possibly making this a club project.

We need to evaluate the interest in how many people would want them and how
many each would need. The obvious question is, " How much will they cost?".
The answer is related to the quantity that can be run at a time. As in any
special item machineing, setup is a big part of the cost. The initial
estimate is less than $15.00 per spring. Quantity will reduce the price.

These springs are significant in creating a proper braking system as well as
making the car completly original. There are cases of old springs braking at
speed and tearing out the brake fluid lines. We know there are a lot of our
cars running around with old loose springs or none at all.

Please respond privately to me. State what drum diameter you need as well
as quantity. The common sizes are 11 and 12 inch diameter. I will compile
the initial sizes and quantitys and submit them to the clubs committee. This
is a project that can be available in a month or two if there is enough
interest.

Happy New Year and Keep restoring those 300's
