RE: [Chrysler300] New G convertible????

I second the opinions stated by Del. It looks like a 62 grille, and I've never seen metal pedals. I've had 2 300G's (coupe and convertible), a Windsor and 2 New Yorkers, and all had the embossed (1961) lettering and non-metal pedals. I've also had about 6 1962 Chryslers of different model types, and none of them had the embossed lettering.
Still, considering that there were only 337 to start with, and only 100 or so left, where are collectors going to go if they want one?
I'm just happy it surfaced, which means the last 'unknown' 4 speed F is still out there to be found by me someday!!

John & Johan,
My G has the same rubber cleat type pedals as this car and came from
factory with them. Have never seen the metal pedals you refer to - might be
a JC Whitney option, as with fender skirts and curb feelers. The person
that mounted the O/S rrview mirror should have at least looked at another
Chrysler before putting it out on the fender a foot further forward than it
should be. Face of the mirror should be exactly in line where the
windshield meets the cowl. John, looking at the factory dealer brochure in
front of me every model, Newport, Windsor, and New Yorker has the word
Chrysler embossed across the top and painted white.
>From looking at the 62 brochure at the Vintage Hobby Stop Ebay store they
did not have the word on the grill. So who knows, maybe they ran out of the
embossed ones and stuck the 62's on some 61's before the switchover in
August. Looks like a ( buddy ) is bidding this car up way beyond where it
belongs. Started bidding right after your bid and "raised" himself $10,000
dollars within a twenty minute period........................ They're either
shills or right there on the evolutionary scale behind pine trees. If this
gets much higher I'll be tempted to put mine and another ( 3-spd stick,
cinnamon ) up for sale as a package deal for about $150 grand "Buy it Now"
price.................

 HNY to all
        Del Kerney
