Re: [Chrysler300] Still Starts Then Dies - '65 300 Friday update

Hi Folks,
I thought I would share my blunder, it may help someone. I wanted to change
my 56 Chrysler Windsor to electronic Ign. The Chrysler 440 EI distributor
looked to be the same , only needed minor machining to fit. All went well,
the car started right up at a idle. The second I gave it gas, it quit.
Turned out that the 440 dist.normally rotated the opposite way from the 56
dist. the vacuum advance was shutting it down. I then got a petronix
conversion kit for the original dist. All ended well. It just cost more than
it should have.
