[Chrysler300] Power steering fluid

Just checking to see what kind of fluid should be used in the 1956 300B  
Power Steering system? I always assumed it was power steering fluid, but my Dad  
is thinking that the old ones like this used ATF for a while? The manual I  
have doesn't specify anything. I've been topping it off from time to time with  
power steering fluid and haven't noticed any problems yet, but have never 
really  added much.
