Are you saying the engine runs well above idle with #6 and #7 both not 
firing or were you just saying it ran the same at idle even with 
disconnecting the leads?

Check your compression, check for a vacuum leak either at the intake 
manifold or in the power brake booster or vacuum supply hose, check the 
firing order, and definitely check your timing chain! If your chain is loose 
enough, the engine will run very poorly and can even jump a tooth which 
would explain why it was running well and now isn't.

If a valve was going to stick, it would have most likely been stuck after 
sitting for two years. Normally valves unstick themselves after running for 
a while if anything.
