Mike, I agree with Don. ; the only way to know for sure where the compression is going (leaking) is to put a cylinder at TDC, then put compressed air in that cylinder and listen to hear where it's escaping. Out the tailpipe = rings froze; out the intake or exhaust = bad or frozen valves. Repeat procedure for each cylinder and you will know exactly what you're up against ! If coming out intake or exhaust, sometimes rapping the affected valve with a BFH (Big F... Hammer) will unstick it. Look at it this way - things could be a lot worse, you could be here in the Northeast freezing your butt off, instead of in Phoenix working in your driveway in a t-shirt !
