440 to 500 ci engine

i was wondering, does anyone know from experience if the 500 ci from 440 block
( not mopars , cant afford ) has the oil control ring in the piston pin area. 
if so, life is apx less than 100k as with other strokers. also, power with 
one, small cam due to the neeed for one because of the rams ( love them ), 
stupid 268 duration, i want a 280 or so. 
i plan to use edel heads, with this combo, desktop dyno figures a not worth 
the expense of i think 40 or so hp or tq. cant remember right now. not worht 
it. any experiences please,
