Need some advice. Thirsty has no operating gas gauge. It does not register, does not blip. The tank side seems all connected and fine. Since the needle doesn't budge, it should be an electrical problem. Dropped the access plate under the dash and all we see are some nuts securing gauge to dash. One nut which of course is the farthest away has a very frayed small metal strand kind of around it. But it doesn't seem to go anywhere. So all our Chrysler technician helpers, what is the logical (and easiest on the old body) step to do now. It's a long way to Maine with no gas gauge. But the speedometer/odometer is there so we're going any way. I just hate to see poor Allan hoofing up the road with a gas can in hand.
