I have a device called a rat zapper.  Nothing worse then to have a rat or
mouse under your home, poison it and then have it die.  Believe me they do
get even.

The rat zapper is shaped somewhat like a small breadbox.  It has an entrance
at one end.  You place a few pieces of dry dog food or some such inside the
device.  The device is battery powered(4 double a's).  You place said device
at some point in the general area of where suspects congregate. The culprit
heads for the goodies, the batteries do what batteries do with several
thousand volts, and you have instant crispyed rodent.  A red lite on the
device lites up to notify you that it has been triggered.  Now you know
where the corpus delecti is and you can dispose of instead of it self
destructing under your home or in the trunk or elsewhere of your stored
auto.

Country living has its drawbacks.  Mrs. Mouse built her house in the boot
(trunk) of my 56 MGA, passing up the opportunity for an estate in Moby's
truck (big, white, rare, obsession).  Anyone have a rodent deterrent that is
reliable and non-lethal?
