Ralph, I have a c-300 that does the same thing. Everything is new except the brake lining. Lining was replaced before I got the car but it's like new. The first 15 mins. driving, I have a nice feeling brake. After that, the brakes fade. That would suggest that the shoes were dragging but I check them many times. I don't have that special tool they show on page 61,62,&63 of the '55 repair manual. Probably would make a difference. If someone give you a tip & it works, please let me know. Meanwhile I'm looking at disks too. John Peabody [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Yahoo! Autos.
