When I tore down my 300F engine,there were no exhaust manifold gaskets in place.I'm sure it had never been apart before,the head gaskets were the original steel shim type with the correct part # stamped on them. Same went for my '65 New Yorker. No exhaust manifold gaskets. Just metal to metal .
