Re: {Chrysler 300} 300 F rear main seal question

The rear main was weeping in my G coupe many years ago.  All the 'local' shops near me in MA asked, "What else would you like us to do while we have the engine out?"
I contacted Rinaldi Automotive in Skowhegan, Maine and Dominic said they could do it with the engine in the car for a few hundred bucks instead of thousands.  They drop the center link, loosen motor mounts, remove oil pan, and maybe even loosen crank bearing caps, but the engine stays in the car and it's quicker and cheaper than pulling the motor and/or transmission, even though it was about a 3 hour ride to drive the car each way.
Not sure how far you are from Maine, but if Rinaldi's can do it, theoretically someone else near you should be able to, though not many people have been inside 413's the way they have. ;-)

Hello everyone,
I searched the archives but haven’t found anything on replacing the rear main seal in my 1960 413. Can anyonevtell me if this can be replaced with the motor and transmission in the car? Or at least with the motor in the car?
Thanks for the help
