{Chrysler 300} 1962 Wiper Switch - Removal

I need to pull my wiper switch out of the dash.

I know that I need to remove the knob, via loosening the Allen screw.

I know that I need to remove the chrome round bezel, via unscrewing it.

I know that I need to push the stem of the switch through the face of the dash.

My question is…..

Does anyone have helpful hints to drop down the switch (& its wiring) to access it?

Just such a pain to gain any access of that drivers side of the goods that live behind the dash.

If there are any helpful hints, I will take them all in & appreciate it!
