Re: {Chrysler 300} Selling our 1957 New Yorker coupe survivor car or trade up/down for restored letter car

Thank you to the club members who responded to my post from last week with kind words about our New Yorker.  I had two interested prospective buyers who were a club members, but not buyers at my price point.  So, I have posted the car on Facebook at the Forward Look Mopars page and the Forward Look Owners Club with a lower asking price of $32,500.  The reason for selling is that there may be another 300 in our future (required 300 related content).

Subject {Chrysler 300} Selling our 1957 New Yorker coupe survivor car or trade up/down for restored letter car

This car is obviously not a 300, but I want to replace it with fully restored letter car (C,D,E,F,H) or Imperial coupe/convertible (57-65), and so a trade up/down is possible (making this post 300 related, sort of, in order to stay out of listserver detention).  We are going to sell our survivor 1957 Chrysler New Yorker coupe, which is unrestored and mostly original in a remarkable state of preservation with 37,000 miles from new (complete history of the car is known and the low mileage is authenticated by oil change stickers on the door jamb).  I prefer restored cars, but some of you folks prefer a well maintained and preserved "survivor" car.  The car is painted in the rare color code AUA (Deep Ruby Metallic with Jet Black top and side spear) and most of the paint is factory original.  My dad and I bought the car 39 years ago, in 1987.  It had been stored in a heated barn since 1961, with occasional use and regular maintenance, and had 27,000 miles at the time of purchase.  It was an absolute time capsule, with virtually everything original except the tires and battery.  It is rust free and straight with original sheet metal.  It runs, drives and stops well.  Please see the attached document for full description and more photos.  Please contact me off list privately if you have interest or questions.  I'd like to see the car go to a 300 club member who will be a good caretaker.  But if no interest within the club, I will post it publicly on Facebook.  Priced to sell at $37,500 firm.  I'm a no BS kind of guy, and so lower offers will not be entertained.
