Fwd: Re: {Chrysler 300} Fwd: Electrical Connector for Power Windows for a 1962

Good morning,

Greg Leggatt had performed a fabulous service to our 300 Club members for many years, fabricating and providing wire harnesses for our 300s.

As Greg and Sue were preparing to move into a smaller residence, he faced the reality that he had to dispose of items that others weren't interested in getting from him. Among these were 30-35 4'x8' boards, each of which contained wire harness templates - both engine bay and firewall-to-rear - for our various year Letter Cars - each specifically customized for the options on the 300 for whiich he was preparing the harness(es). I had spoken with Greg a couple times when he had approached that time to dump these if no takers reached out. That time came and all these boards went into  a dumpster.

Beyond the boards themselves, Greg commented how, many years prior, he had purchased in bulk supplies of each of the large variety of connectors, etc. he used in fabricating these harnesses. Toward that final end, Greg commented that he had depleted his supply of many of these special connectors, possibly including the one Ron is searching for in restoring his H, and he found no new suppliers of quality replacements, domestic or offshore, that were available. We didn't talk about the supply of connectors he still had in stock, but I can't believe he dumped those connectors along with his boards.

Remembering Greg fondly - a real treasure of a man! And, glad to see that his sweet wife, Sue, is still a member of our Club!

Noel

Gregg Leggatt made them , but he has passed . Sadly his harness stuff all got tossed , dumpster full
That whole connector setup is kind of poorly done . Unless you can find a truly good switch, but even then you rnd up with rats nest of splices
If not a stickler for original problems you can carefully solder pigtails to the switch  pins , then use 1/4 insulated stake ons one pair per wire -- obviously mark wires or find same colors
It will never break again

Hello,

I have to replace some of the wires in the electric window wire harness and need the little U-shaped female connector that the switch plugs into for a 1962 Chrysler.   It is in a plastic gang where the 4 wires come in.  The plug on the motor end would be helpful as well.

Does anyone know who sells these?

Ron
