Our ’62 Sport has less than 5,000 miles on its rebuilt 383 & torqueflight. The transmission has never shifted right. I recall how these transmissions are supposed to shift from 2 prior rebuilds for our ’62 Sport & ’62 NY Wagon. I recall they allow you to feel the shifts. I recall what a ball it is when doing 55mph & you floor it…how it downshifts to 2nd & launches you forward to pass others. It is shifts way too quick, most all the time…..like a Buick Dynaflow with no feeling between the gears. Sometimes it doesn’t want to shift from 2nd to 3rd; a more rare issue. And so I think through the adjustment process and needs your collective brains, please….
Anyone feel that I should proceed with the Band Adjustments? Or other ideas? Thank you all!
