The hole is one inch but it goes up the slope of the fin. See the attached pictures.

I was lucky to get the original antenna back from the seller of my car.

I assume that it is equal distance from the fin to the trunk edge.

 

The aftermarket electric antenna’s want a one inch hole. That would be tight in that spot.
