I seriously thought about spokes on the 300K, but for daily driving I decided against it. Instead, I picked up some inexpensive 15 inch aluminum wheels from summit. If one gets damaged or stolen or…cheap to
replace.
They balanced good and so far, seems to run nice.
Sometimes you must be a slave to the intended use.

To add to what Carl says, if the wheels get wet, you must dry them completely or they will rust. When you think they're dry, dry them again. This is advice from a friend who has been running them on his frequently driven 60 Saratoga. I'm
sure the stainless spokes help.
I have Tru Spokes on my G installed by the P.O, they are beautiful, but make sure you are aware of the downsides as Nick mentions. They all leak, at least in time they will, tubes are highly recommended. I have not experienced the balance
issues, at least with the Diamondback radials I'm using. They are a pain to thoroughly clean, and they will get dirty from just about any driving. Thorough cleaning requires removing the wheels from the car. Nobody does that (ok, I did once, when I got the
car). Also, subsequent removal of the tires, if radials, from the wheel could damage the tires, so don't do it until the tires need replacement. And doing so will likely disturb the silicone band around the spokes, increasing the likelihood of leaks. Use
of a competent installer, experienced with this type of wheel, is helpful, but trying to find one these days might be an exercise in futility.
With all that negativity, did I mention that the wires are beautiful? Strongly recommend stainless spokes as well if you go this route.

True Spoke ones are the best but they are quite expensive. I bought a set of unknown brand ones from a fellow club member several years ago and they leak and are very hard to balance. One needed so much weight we gave up. And I've since
removed them. I had them on my 1960 New Yorker wagon.
I wanted to use 15” wire wheels on my 300F and am finding them difficult to get and quite expensive. Any ideas or recent experience?
Coker has been advertising a new series of tires called the Coker Classic Star Series. They don't have the 235/75R-14s listed on their site so I contacted them about them. They said they are coming in the fall.
That's the tire I supposedly have on the way, ordered them yesterday w/expedited shipping.
lol - yes on my G, H, studebaker bulletnose, 59 ford wagon - I have Diamondback Auburn series tires: with beautiful pie crust sidewall edges. (Not as beautiful as the original “bluedot”
equipment-but as close as you can get - I think)
The 14’s do NOT have the pie crust edges - only 15’s - but they are beautifully done. Which is saying ALOT - in today’s world.
And because the white walls are “applied” they stay bright white (!) an added bonus!!!
I second the Diamondback suggestion. Auburn is the model. A tubeless radial. Have mounted them on eight cars now. They look and drive great.
Tested them to 140+. But that’s another story.

I really like the look of the bias ply tires on our cars, but also appreciate the benefits of radials. That's why I am drawn to the tires that Coker sells and now Diamondback finally
sells which combine the best of both worlds.
I totally concur with Steve re sticking with bias ply for low distance driving.
If you’re going to really drive it I’d look no further than Diamondback. I have several sets on a variety of Mopars …. They track beautifully and look great!
I am one who does not drive my 300F cross country or at least on very long drives. Mine is a low mileage original 300F so I am fine with bias ply tires and that is what is still
on my car but the last time I bought tires for it was 8 years ago, so now I am looking to replace them. What appeals to me is a bias ply tire from Coker Classic, specifically the the height is 27.6" overall and the whitewall is 2.5" wide. Each tire is $250
and they are currently in stock.

I am awaiting the arrival of this car I bought last week, but the records show the tires are about 19 years old, they are Coker P235/75R14 with 2 1/2 inch whitewalls. I am thinking
I will need to get new tires since they are so old. I have bought Coker tires before, would like to have radials, but am wondering if I have any options besides Coker in that size or some other size that might work. Thanks for any ideas.
