Re: {Chrysler 300} remote oil filter 392

Hi All.

I installed remote many years ago on my 392 powered street roadster. Can be done in a few hours. Reason I chimed in, When I received the adaptor I saw the fitting holes were taped for 3/8" pipe thread. I thought remote mounting extended filter furtherer from engine should have larger hoses. I drilled out the ports, both engine and remote filter mount to 1/2" pipe thread, way better flow. 3/8" may be ok, my engine is higher performance. If you enlarge the first photo attached, you can see the engine oil filter adaptor on bottom left of block with 1/2" an lines running back under the body to frame. Yes, that is me 2 yrs ago with my "Grate" grandson.

P.S. Another story, I started building that Roadster in 1957. I removed the 300 motor from a 1957 300C I owned in 1961. It ended up with the 354 I had in the roadster.

Looking for opinions from those that have installed a remote oil filter

on their 1957 392. The good, the bad, where did you get the pieces, etc.
