RE: [Chrysler300] 300 E

Most likely it is the park switch cam switch inside the motor not making contact anymore, can probably be fixed by disassembly by someone like JC .  I doubt it is the dash switch, but could be that or the park wire itself . Those latter things do not just up and  fail, in general, but park switches in the motor do....by wearing out.  I do not know E specifically but other MOPARS doing that .

An experienced auto electrician using E manual (print of wiper wiring setup) can jump the switch at the motor first with dash switch in off position ; if it parks, / moves then it is the internal switch. Maybe you can find whole motor somewhere...

Park switch supplies power to motor when turned off,  via P ark wire from switch on dash ( can get complicated at switch as it has to go to slow speed too)  ; then motor runs through that park switch alone, until a cam opens it up when blades are full down, stopping it in park. If it wears , it might not connect , so motor just sits there . Of course if wire is broken or dash switch, same thing but much less likely .

my .02, hope it helps...

Last fall when I put the E away, I noticed that the windshield wiper "return" did not work.  Is this due to corrosion that might be corrected by spraying some compound onto the switch?  Any other suggestions are welcome.

Subject: [Chrysler300] OIL Cap or 710 Cap for a C

Here's a trivia question for a C. The oil filler cap on my C is one of those that has "OIL" stamped on it right-side-up and upside-down. The word is actually stamped from the underside so it stands proud of the surface. In my recollection this is the correct and original cap for the car.

If you don't do something dumb, you may never need a new one. But I did and I do, and I want to get the proper one to replace it. Can others of you let me know whether this is the right cap or not?

Thanks.
