Re: [Chrysler300] Tachs?

I too have had tach made to install in the clock bezel and install the Benrus self winding clock (or was it Elgin) in the steering wheel. Jeff Carter can help with that modification.

All:
Nothing in C300/300B options that I have ever seen suggests the availability of a tach.  I sure would imagine one was utilized on the race cars, though.  A tach was used on at least one of the Daytona cars in 1957.   I have it now in my 300C.  It is made of aluminum and fits in the space formerly occupied by the clock. So, no tachs available until they became standard on the 300F.  Then, much complaining about their location down in the console.  300ly, Gil C.

Hello George & 300 Fans,

I don't claim to know ecerything about '55 & '56 300s but I have never seen,
read or heard any mention of that option.  I would expect the racing cars
had them, but not with a factory installation.
Member Jonnie Slayton is a real '55 & '56 guy, and our chief judge may have
more documentation than most of us.  Perhaps they'd like to comment.
