I’m not sure its relevant, but my ’55 PowerFlite used to leak small amounts of ATF while sitting for long periods. The leakage was around the vertical shaft that selects the internal gear. The shaft and its housing had O-rings and seals that were replaced several times to no avail. A rebuild involved replacement of several finely machined internal parts and seals, some of which held the fluid in the torque converter. The story I got was that the torque converter is not supposed to drain down during non-use, and that if it did, no seal would hold the ATF in the PowerFlite housing. If the problem is in holding the torque converter full, replacing seals and o-rings elsewhere may not be expected to solve the problem. After the rebuild, it pretty much holds fluid. Experts are welcome to chime in, but that’s my experience.
There are additives to ATF that are supposed to swell up O-rings and other rubber seal parts so they can do their job.
When I took Fluid Mechanics in college, the professor told us the first law of hydraulics is that hydraulic systems leak.

Hi Ken,
If you think that it might be that same "o" ring, I have a source for one here in Sacramento.
The Sport brakes are now working like new. Thanks again for your help with the parts.

My H trans also leaks- with zero miles on a rebuild. Have not got it
