I have no direct experience with a 2903 carburetor that I remember but I do have faith in factory service bulletins. We check for bulletins on every vehicle we touch. Can avoid a lot of wasted time and money.
Specification building a carburetor is always a good first step. Best results will be achieved with a good run on a dynamometer and then calibration coerrections and adjustments made. Specs do not always work and, from what I have seen, not frequently at all. This has also been my experience with every factory remanufactured carburetor I have worked with; always some area that is not working in an acceptable manner. and, after experiences too numerous to count, I will not even attempt fixing a factory reman carburetor.
