Hi Joe,
I use a bushing driver almost the same size as the seal to drive them in. They should not be bottomed in the bore, as they may not be contacting the seal surface on the axle. You may have to measure to check this. Sometimes the spring on the seal pops off and lands in the housing. It can be put back on with some careful use of a pick. I use the modern rubber type, not the old leather ones. I hope this helps.

the rite seals. but idont think so i will get them and try again. i
