Hi Larry,  A number of years ago Gil and I discussed thisd since I also have two of these pieces in aluminum and not painted.  Perhaps someone has a correct answer.  Don Rook in Mena, Arkansas

  The vent intake grille between the hood and base of the windshield in my car
  is natural aluminum maybe anodized hard to tell. I can't seem to find a good
  picture of this area of an F and having never seen an F in person other than
  mine I have no idea if this is correct. Should this be body colored?
