Hi Richard, Just to give you an idea of older cars Horse power. I bought a
new 1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix with the 383 Ram Induction advertised at 330 HP.
I used to Drag ace it At Lions Drag Strip in L.A. and I always had it Dyno
tuned. It was putting out 225 Horse Power at the rear wheels. That was
bone stock. I remember at the same time there was a 1958 Imperial which had
a 392 Hemi with one 4 BBl. It would put out 175 H.P. at the rear wheels.
I hope this helps you a little.
