In an earlier post I stated that I had purchased NOS filters from Andy Birnbaum and I looked at them last evening. The boxes are Purolator AFP-15. The filters measure 2&1/4" high, 11&1/2" long, and 6&3/8" across. The box states they are for Plymouth Fury 58&59, Dodge D500 58&59, Chrysler 300 58&59, and Chrysler Fuel Injected Cars 58. The top and bottom are made of black hard rubber and the screen covering the paper element is a wire mesh. I still have the original filters and they are the same size with the top and bottom a very hard rubber or plastic that is a dark orange color and the screen is a perforated sheet metal. The only marking on them is a patent number 2,732,031. My car is a 61 Newport with a factory 413 with dual inline carbs like the 59E and 62H (which it was a test car for).

Hey All,
the filters in my fiberglass air cleaners were simply 9x2"
round elements available at most parts stores. They are replacements for the
generic chrome air cleaners that they sell. About 8 bucks a piece if I recall.
Another option was to get a set of K&N 9x2 elements. Either way just leave 'em
in the sun or on the hood of a hot car for a few minutes and then just "squish"
they're oval shaped.
Thought I replied when this thread started weeks ago. Maybe
it never made it.
