I have not been following all that has been discussed this time relative to retrofitting an electric pump. But, the simple use of an intermittent switch and the starter relay at first glance could cause a problem. However. if intermittent switch is powered through the starter circuit and the pump only receives power when starter is engaged AND intermittent switch is triggered, that would work I may very well have missed the part about how the intermittent switch is prevented from triggering the starter which would be the concern
