A few years ago you could still get cast pistons for about $350 bucks a set  
from Muscle Motors. I think they also had hyperutectic? sp? for about the same 
 price. I think the cast pistons were made by badger. Make sure you don't buy 
a  set made for the truck engines... compression ratio too low
