There are lots of shops that specialize in driveshaft modifications.  You
can even get them manufactured (NEW) out of Aluminum and I think I even saw
one available made out of carbon fiber.  

 

I haven't needed to modify a driveshaft since the 60's so I cannot recommend
any particular shop.  Sean Duggan, who submitted the article on the CrossRam
website lives here in SoCal and can probably be found on the club roster.
According to the article, he had his done at Cannon Engineering, here in
SoCal.

I drove the F 220 miles round trip to educate the citizens of Cloverdale in 
the wine country. First place in the 60-65 group! The drive shaft has quite 
a whip on lift-off around 70 mph. Remember previous chat about a more 
modern front U joint for the F's. Can anyone remiind me how and where this
gets 
done?
