1986 I purchased my B in Canada.  When driving back into USA with no license tags(only had a Bill of Sale from the Sheriff in Pentictan, BC) on auto I was stopped at Customs.  Was asked what I paid for car(5,000.00 Canadian), I was told that I owed duty on that amount.  I of course protested to no avail.  I then asked to speak to someone in charge and again no success, until I remembered that Chryslers were all produced in the US.  When I pointed this out, I was waved on thru with no further discussion of monies due.
