[Chrysler300] Power Brake Pedal Lettering, care and cleaning

e-Bay item # 280077850712 by the Old Plym Café shows a used power brake
pedal for 1955-56 MoPars with the words POWER BRAKE cast into it. All other
pedals I?ve seen lately were plain with no lettering, but I have the
faintest of recollections these jazzier pedals were used on Imperials. Can
anyone confirm which is correct for the 1955 C-300? It may very well be an
after market replacement, but it does appear to be the proper gray rubber.
By the way, my street shoes sure smear black gunk into the surfaces of these
gray pedals. Is there any recommended cleaner and/or sealer to keep them
looking clean? I need to keep my heavy shoes on to mash the loud pedal and,
especially, the whoa pedal so barefoot or slippers are out. Thank goodness
for the black carpets in these cars.
