It is my view that club officers should verify Tony's allegations, and if found to be true and accurate (of which I am all but certain they are), then person should be stripped ofis membership in the club and be banned from ever belonging to the club again. The "other club" should also be notified (if not already), and should follow the same course of action. This should not be tolerated under any circumstances. This appears to go way past misunderstanding. I view this as a very serious matter, and believe it should be dealt with by the club as soon as possible! Hello 300 Group, Tony Braams, here in Australia. This is an update on my previous list messages concerning "Dodgy" 300 club member Rene Kroeger, of Bondurant, Iowa. I phoned and agreed to buy several '57 Chrysler parts from Rene [Bad Santa], back in September, after reading a Newsflite advertisement. It was an early Xmas present that I didn't need. Rene sent some '56 Chrysler parts and never sent some parts at all. All that I did recieve for $300 U.S. [$400 Aus.], of the 6 agreed items was just a pair of Globrite '57 tail lenses, which Rene valued at $70. I decided to have some weights of the correct and heavier '57 parts verified by a very trusted club member in the U.S. This was presented back to a very ignorant Rene [now Extremely Bad Santa]. The recorded weights and costs of shipping when sent from the U.S. and rec'd here in Australia totally proved the lighter '56 parts were in fact sent and that the other '57 parts were never sent at all. All along Santa Rene had said that everything that he agreed to send was DEFINATELY sent. Rene's response to my collected and verified weights, of low weights and low shipping costs etc? The Quick thinking Bad Santa Rene just then decided that he would now SWING the SLEIGH around to agree with my collected and VERIFIED evidence. Which clearly proved to his JOLLY SELF and the Seven Reindeers that Yo Ho Ho - NO, Santa Rene NEVER DID send the agreed parts at all. To LIE to the club member [and then back to me], who volunteered to look at and try to solve the problem. To just LIE AGAIN in saying that he never ever had those '57 Chrysler parts at all. And to then LIE AGAIN in saying that I only sent him $200, not $300. The problem was that I still had and e'mailed back the scanned copy of the western union money order that says, Surprise ... Rene Kroeger - $300. Anyway it's not so much the money, but the principal of what has occurred, from a fellow club member, within the club circle. Despite my best and controlled efforts to negotiate with Rene, he has just been denials and lies from the very beginning. His total unwillingness and ignorance to look at collected evidence, the documents, low shipping costs and weights etc. has just been a total brick wall. So if you are looking for some 300 parts to put under the Xmas tree, you might be best to look elsewhere, than the KROEGER BUNKER. BAD SANTA RENE'S - Ricketty, Unskyworthy Sleigh should be viewed with trepidation and suspicion. All I am asking for is for the several other club members who have had problems with Rene, to contact me back [when convenient], off the list server and for us to follow this up with the club, officially. I have recieved some fairly simple instructions from the club on how to go about doing this, no big deal and behind the scenes. I know we would all rather be focusing on all the positive aspects of the 300 club and the great cars. But I think we all need to ask ourselves one thing ... Do we really want or need people of this character to be connected with such a great club ? Great to recieve the latest Newsflite with the pics of some 300 owners and their cars. Best wishes to all - for a safe Xmas and lucky 2007. Tony in Oz. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
