why 300 values might not crash?!

A quick final thought, query re that maybe 300 values might not fall soon - and this was/is prompted by recent talk re batwing 300 aircleaners, plus that younger kids/people cannot now perhaps afford to buy a 300 as first choice.

And so to the question I put - 20 years ago in Australia when driving or pulling up in say a 57 300C, guess what was pretty common from young and teenage kids??!! And I guess this may have applied in US as well?

the words uttered by so many youngers was/were "da da da dah, BATMAN !!!"

But guess what, nowadays instead they come up to you to tell you how much they love the car, even though they haven't a clue what it is.

So folks, maybe instead of us that love/like these 300s dying off, and values then plummeting cause no one else after us wants them, just maybe the groundswell/force is just a beginning ??!!

I own my cars, all of them including non 300s, to drive them, if they not good to drive, they gone - to have 8-12 year olds on pushbikes come up to your car in virtual awe of what it seemingly represents to them is a great bonus, but personally more for me that I have given them pleasure whilst really just enjoying myself. And that reminds me of the time I was (briefly) carting round a TV Soapie Sexpot when she visited the tourist Town I lived in then, she pretty with it, so I letting her drive as she said she loved old cars - a young kid waved to us from the footpath, so she braked (we were in an old 49 Cadillac Convertible I had bought at a clearing sale), backed up, and asked the kid why did he wave, did he like the car? - he said no - she said did he like her (she was blonde like Pamela Anderson, built near as good, mid 20s) the kid said no, not really. She said "well stuff you", and floored it !!??

No doubt many of you have tales of odd reactions from people on footpath etc, (I have stackloads) but I would be curious to know if you got the 'Batman' welcome/ridicule in the US years ago driving your 300s then, or maybe still ?!!

Leave it with you, dark outside now with pouring rain after thunderstorm, the dry aussie red dirt giving off that unique summer rain aroma,
