Re: [Chrysler300] Various questions on a '65 300L

Hi Dan

Welcome to the club!!!

I'd like to add a little to Don Warnars post...

Questions #5 & 6 - the standard 300L rear brakes are 2-1/2" X 11". There was
an optional "H/D suspension & brake package" (Sales Order Code #607) that
upgraded rear brakes to 3" X 11". Cost was $35.95 . It seems on some cars,
the package included a
"panhard bar" which was basically a straight bar mounted to a lower shock
mount on one end and to the upper frame on the opposite side on the other
end. I've seen some cars with the performance package that had the bar and
some that didn't. I think the early cars got them and then Chrysler decided
it wasn't necesary and eliminated the bar. I had a 300L with the bar and it
wasn't even shown in the parts book. I had to use an Imperial book to find
the bushing part #'s.
