[Chrysler300] The confusion continues

Hello group,
Another cry for help.
I finally got the reworked heads and new pushrod back from the machine shop, and mounted them and set the valve lash on the intake and exhaust.
Since I first found the problem by taking a compression test and getting a big fat zero on cylinder #2, I figured it would be a good idea to check the compression once I put the heads on (before reassembling everything else).
I got quite a surprise.
All of the cylinders are within 5 lbs of each other, which is to be expected, but now all the readings for all the cylinders are down around 110 lbs each!
I had readings in the 135 range before I took things apart to have the zero reading fixed.
What gives?
I'm using the same compression tester as before.
Do I have the wrong head gaskets? Are they too thick, thus dropping compression ratio?
Maybe the battery is just weaker than when I started, so the motor is turning more slowly?
Maybe there's no oil around the rings since the motor has been apart for 2 months?
Any and all comments appreciated.
I don't want to put the whole thing back together until I come up with a satisfactory explanation for this.
John
