I agree. These are never going to be "originals" anyway; but they will be
safer to use with radials. No more worrying about metal fatigue. The
wheel width should be specified to best accommodate the rubber of choice.
The recommended width is listed in the tire sales manual. Safer and a
better look? Who could argue with that?
Be glad we have the excuse.
