[Chrysler300] Choke/Manifold Leak

I replaced the choke well cups and gaskets on my "F" with new parts, 
after a thorough cleaning of the manifold mounting surface. Exhaust 
gases are leaking between the cup and manifold on both sides, midway 
between the mounting bolts. The noise and "soot" generated by the 
leaks are irritating.

Has anyone out there experienced this problem, and if so -- how was it 
corrected (if it was)?
