Hello everyone!! I hope this will help. My G hardtop 'Melissa' has the VIN# 8413-174408. Her engine is 'branded' 3/29 HP-41. The ladder, high performance 413 figures are irrelevent to discussion but 3/29 would be of interest; March 29, 1961 engine #.  Also, '61 of that date is correct since Gs were produced from June '60-June '61. and yes, Melissa has the '300' emblem on the trunk.  Hope I helped!!  300ly,  Brandt H. J. w/ a G.
