Hemmings "Classic Car" June 2005 issue has a rather comprehensive article on
the Chrysler's development of the Torqueflight. Goes into quite some detail
on the internal engineering of it and the various options that Chrysler
explored before choosing a 3 speed torque converter approach(instead of say
a 4 speed fluid coupling(ala Hydramatic). Also an article on the "C", "D"
and "E" with some good pics and another article(short) on the "F".
