Might as well throw my 2¢ worth in on exhaust pipes....
When I retrieved my "F" last fall from it's 21-year hiatus in a
museum, the exhaust system was rusted out from the manifolds thru
the mufflers.
The only place I was aware of (at the time) that made the exhaust
pipes for my Brute was Eileen Brass. I ordered a set from her. The
installation was marked by only very, very minor adjustments
required of the installer. However, on driving it a decided rattle
was present at times under accleration.
The cause was the left-hand exhaust pipe being too close to the
torsion bar assembly -- about 1/4" or less clearance. A simple
adjustmenet to that area of the exhaust pipe, and everything was
fine.
