I used Barroni(sp) in Venice, Ca. some 15 years ago. Did stainless steel spokes and chromed(but regular steel nipples as supposedly you cannot tighten properly stainless against stainless). Work was excellent, but next time I would insist that they be sealed so that could run tubeless tires. This can now be done ok. You could get some minor rusting where spokes join nipples(as they are not stainless remember?). I found solution for this was to about once a year to spray a modest amount of WD-40 into each nipple. 15 years and no rust at all. They remain excellent. At that time the cost to rebuild was around $350 per wheel, and that did not include the core wheel or a cap. No idea what their current pricing is.
