I have two broken 55,56 chry.hornrings and I can't find anyone who can
weld them.I know they are pot metal but I have seen some that have been
repaired.Should anyone know of someone who would work on these please

I have to agree/side with Joe on this one. This post is a couple of months old and since it was written there have been several requests for the location of parts or cars for sale. Come on guys, this is a waste of bandwidth. If you don't want to list the city, at least list the state. When I see a part for sale that might be of interest to me, knowing where it is located would help my decision to buy it.

Subject: Wire wheels
Recently there was an offer of genuine chrysler wheels in this list. The
Dayton wheel company can rebuild them into perfect condition, with either chrome
or stainless spokes as you prefer. I had the ones on my B done a number of
years ago and they continue to drive true at 75+ mph and look great. The hub
caps fit perfectly as well. I don't know how the costs would compare - the old
ones were offered at $60 per if I remember correctly. Just another

There are 2 pairs currently on ebay. One was noted earlier, the other is a
pair of the early production Flat-Shell type. If you've an early-production
car w/o the right housings, snap these up.

I, too had Dayton Wire Wheels rebuild a set of Chrysler Motor Wheel Wires for me about 15 years ago. They remain excellent. At that time the cost to rebuild was around $350 per wheel, and that did not include the core wheel or a cap. No idea what their current pricing is. Best to all, John in Wisconsin

How much earlier is the date code on the alternator when compared to the
manufacture date of your car? Also, how much earlier or later is the date code
when compared to the build date of your engine?
