Power Steering Mount/Belt

For our '62 300 we have a later power steering pump mount, which doesn't
require you to pull up & out to make the belt adjustment; only up.

I have 2 new belts (9435's), as I have 2 '62's. Both belts seem too
long as when on the pulleys and adjusted out they have about 3" play in
them.

The pulley on the pump is the correct 5.5" pulley.



Does anyone know if the older style mounts have more "pull" on their
adjustment? Or maybe I have 2 belts that are oddly made too big from
the manufacturer.

Maybe I need to try the older mount.if I kept it?

Anyone know the correct diameter of the belt, so I can check these?
