Dumb Question

Timing marks on the timing cover show the "0" mark and the "10" mark.

I should align the mark on the balancer to the "10" to obtain timing of
ten degrees before top dead center; correct?

Aligning it to the "0" would be ten degrees too advanced (or retarded),
right?
