Clear steering wheels

I had the clear portion of my 300G wheel recast and polished by John Veatch back in 1990. The dark gray portion was fine and left original. Cost at the time was $150 I believe. The work done by John and the materials used have held up well. There has been no yellowing or cracking whatsoever. My chrome plating (on the wheel rim) was good so replating was not necessary.

I do not know what materials or process he used, but for wheels that only need the clear recast, I think it would be in the best interest of the 300 Club members to find out exactly what he did. I have looked for his name in the roster and did not see it listed. Is John Veatch still involved in car restoration and/or 300s?
