What is wrong with this picture? A "stock" crate motor? They are far from what was put out the door in terms of stock and we all know that that was due to the bean counters at GM as they would save every nickel they could and that meant what went under the hood was cheap as possible. I can't remember how many times chevvy guys have said they can rebuild their small block twice cheaper than one Mopar small block - and they all most always have to do it twice or three times as the durability of Mopar is leaps and bounds higher Stock out the factory door than GM. Oh But I forget is a LS7 "stock" in a 71 Nova?
